New Firearm Range Access Badge

Published on 8/3/2019

On August 9, 2019, begins the process of installing our new Remotely Monitored Firearm Range Access System. Each member, who purchased a Range Badge, will receive a new proximity Range Access Badge. Here are the scheduled dates for you to pick up your new Range Access Badge:

  • 08/07/2019 - Membership Meeting
  • 08/19/2019 - Board of Directors Meeting
  • 09/04/2019 - Membership Meeting
  • 09/16/2019 - Board of Directors Meeting

For security, you will need to bring your White Membership Card for identification. Picking up Range Access Badges for other members IS NOT ALLOWED. You will receive an envelope containing your new firearm range access card. Only this card allows access to the firearm range. Simply touch the card against either reader pads located on either side of the range gate for access. There is no sound or voice over, if your card is valid, the gate will open. For security reasons the card displays only your serial number.

Do not lose or loan your Range Access Card to anyone. You must still display your WHITE MEMBERSHIP badge on your exterior garment. Guests must still sign in at the gate and display your YELLOW GUEST badge on their exterior garment.

If your access card does not activate the gate, your privileges are suspended. Either your NRA membership is expired or you are missing the CRM training, or you are missing the mandatory safety training. Using the bypass key, or getting another member to let you in or gaining access by any other means is a violation of the BCGF Lawful Enactments.

If you have any further questions or your range access does not work, please contact the Records Chairman at records@bcgf.org.
